Abstract
Review objectives/questions: The objective of this mixed methods systematic review is to develop an integrated synthesis of quantitative and qualitative research evidence on team-based learning (TBL) in undergraduate nurse education programs to inform active learning strategies among students.
More specifically, the objectives are:
i. For the quantitative component, to identify the effectiveness of TBL on improving academic performance and team skills following participation in TBL activities.
ii. For the qualitative component, to identify students' experiences of engagement in TBL.
