Abstract

Review question/objective: : The main objective of this qualitative review is to synthesize the best available evidence on facilitators and barriers of modern contraception use among reproductive-aged (15-49 years) women living in sub-Saharan Africa [SSA].

The specific review questions are:

1. What are the facilitators and barriers to modern contraception use among reproductive-aged women in SSA?

2. How different are the facilitators and barriers between sexually active non-married and married women?

3. Have these facilitators and barriers changed over time, and how have they changed?
