APSNA was proudly represented at the NAPNAP conference in Las Vegas, NV, in March. We were excited to provide an APSNA vendor exhibit in the exhibit hall as part of an exhibit exchange with NAPNAP. Several of our APSNA colleagues led sessions at the NAPNAP conference:
[black small square] Maureen Kelly, MS, CPNP, and Suzane Kujawa, MSN, CPNP, presented "Management of Pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease."
[black small square] Jeannette Zerpa, MSN, ARNP, PPCNP-BC; Kim Mciltrot, DNP, CPNP, CWOCN; Pam Pieper, PhD, ARNP, PPCNP-BC; and Raji Koppolu, MS, CPNP, presented "Publishing, Posters and Presentations."
[black small square] Elizabeth Paton, MSN, CPNP, presented "Diagnosis and Management of Common Pediatric Surgical Conditions for the Primary Care Nurse Practitioner."
[black small square] Raquel Pasaron, DNP, ARNP, FNP-BC, presented "Clinical Roundup: Acute Care Hot Topics."
We had 25 new APSNA members join our organization during our March membership drive! Kudos to Children's Hospital Colorado for taking advantage of our group membership discount and signing up 12 new members to APSNA! If your organization is interested in the APSNA group discount, please contact the membership chair at [email protected].
It's never too early to start thinking about nominations for the 2016 Founder's Award; all of us work among clinicians who contribute so much to our profession and are so deserving. Let's have a record number of submissions next year!
Our education and research grants continue to be underutilized; please visit the Grants and Awards tab on the APSNA Webpage to see a listing of all the awards and grants available and the criteria to apply or to nominate a colleague.
Remember that the Triad membership is available. You can read more about the benefits of the Triad Membership on the APSNA Web site, http://www.APSNA.org.
As always, please contact me with any membership-related questions.
Warmly,
Jenifer Reitsma, MSN, CPNP
