Congratulations also to Kim McIltrot, Publication Chair, for taking APSNA to the next level by successfully transitioning our newsletter Sutureline into the peer-reviewed, online Journal of Pediatric Surgical Nursing. The inaugural issue was published in March. The Journal expands the reach of APSNA and helps us meet our mission of providing safety and excellence in the surgical care of children. Please consider submitting an article for publication in an upcoming edition. To find out more, contact Kim at mailto:[email protected].
I encourage all of our members to review our Web site and familiarize yourselves with all of our available benefits. Now is the time to begin the application process for our educational grant, research scholarship, and foster WOCN grant. These grants and awards offer money to continue your nursing education or fund research projects where you work or study.
As always, if you have published or presented on a topic of interest to pediatric surgical nurses, we would love to share it with your colleagues in a future issue of the Journal. Please send your information to mailto:[email protected].
Sincerely,
Melanie Hanlon, RN, CNP, PC/AC
